Cold Water Fisheries Conservation
in the Pacific Northwest
Welcome!
Trout Unlimited is Growing in Oregon
TU has grown to 5 active chapters in the state.  The most recent addition was
to reinstate the previously inactive Central Oregon Chapter in the
Bend/Redmond area.  This addition will help  reinforce our work with the
Deschutes Basin Land Trust in the Metolius watershed.  Other active chapters
in Oregon include 2 in the Portland area, one in Eugene and the Middle Rogue
chapter in Grants Pass.

Take Action on the 2009 Oregon Legislative Session!
There is heated activity on a number of water and conservation issues in the
Oregon legislative session this year.  From protecting the Metolius, to hatchery
reform and funding invasive species prevention, TU is working to promote

HB 3298 "Protect the Metolius" Passes Reconsideration Vote
This recent legislation on protecting the Metolius River Basin that drew interest
across the state and the nation passed the Oregon House on a
reconsideration vote. The Bill will now be on the Governor's desk for his
signature.  Please send thanks to all those legislators that reconsidered the
importance of this critical watershed and voted to protect this special place.
